Have you ever noticed how many ways a baby sleeps?

Well... daddy notices... and is obsessed with snapping pictures of me
when I'm doing what I do best- sleep!!!

All those hanging things wore me out!

Well... I guess I'm not getting out of this thing
so I might as well go to sleep!

How does daddy always catch me when I'm dreaming!

Ummm... my philosophy on world peace is...

I know... my lips are delicious!

Awwwww... this is the life!

Well... uh... guess mommy & daddy
want me to stay put.

Ummmm... do you think dad wants me to like football??

Dad... just trying to get this binky thing down!

Mastering the art of relaxin... notice what
snuck up on my wrist?

Playing with dad... ummm... is this thing glued to my wrist?

Can a baby get some sleep... without football??
Guess not...

First day of church!
And wait..what's on my wrist... again!!!
Come on dad... I get it... you LOVE football!

Don't you wonder what babies dream about??

I do!!!!!

Hanging out with daddy...

Scott was such a supportive daddy in the hospital... to both baby and mommy.  He slept a few nights in that hospital chair and plenty of time "shhhhhh" in Isaac's ear when he was fussy.  Overall, our hospital stay was nice but the three of us were definitely ready to come home!

My baby had to get his first sun tan... at an early age!

So... again... I'm new to this mommy thing!  Needless to say, when the doctors told me Isaac had Billy Rubin... I cried!  (Never mind that it's a completely common thing babies have and usually one night under the lights, all is better... which is exactly what happened!)  I think it was harder on me than him... why wouldn't it be?  He was warm, snuggled, and half the night had daddy's finger to suck on!  He has "this is the life" down... at such an early age!

His name...

How did we pick the name you might ask??

Well... in a literal sense, we "picked" his name out of Grammy's hand... it came down to two names we liked and Isaac's name was picked. Mommy was happy because she thought he looked just like an Isaac. That name kept popping in my mind about 2 weeks before he was born and it wouldn't escape... God knew which hand needed to be picked! : )

Oh... and mommy cried when she announced the name. : )

(The precious paper that was picked!)

Isaac Michael Rey Maisonet

So... after 29hours (ummmm yeah... I said 29hours!) our precious angel finally arrived- Sept 16th (one day after grandpa's birthday)!

All I have to say... is mommies are AMAZING! Unless you've given birth, it's impossible to understand how incredibly hard it is to go thru the birthing process... all I have to say, is "yippee" it's over and now I have my baby boy.

He was born healthy and alert and HUNGRY! He ate pretty much right away and slept next to mommy for his first night in this wide wide world!
